No matter how you cut it, urban ministry is hard, gut wrenching work. Pastors are often misunderstood, under-resourced, disconnected and left to navigate the complexities of nurturing their congregations and communities alone. This reality leaves great leaders frustrated, burnt out which often leads to early departure from ministry all together. THRIVE is designed to remind the urban pastor that you’re not alone by galvanizing small groups of like minded leaders with the purpose of moving from surviving alone to thriving together!
Jesus’ transformational work on this earth was life altering to anyone that came in contact with Him. Yet for three years, Jesus’ primary focus was making disciples, equipping and empowering others so that hey can would be sent out into the world to do greater than he had done. THRIVE equips pastors to replicate this Jesus type ministry.
THRIVE Initiative is a unique six month journey with urban pastors in Michigan, Charlotte & Atlanta as they reimagine disciple making and reaching their community for Jesus. Through a six month process, pastors engage in meaningful fellowship, practical training and information sharing that connects them through a mission of making disciples that make disciples.
